Getting ready for the All-Irelands

Hello Everyone  --  Happy 2012!

Hope all has been well . Our family is getting ready for a trip to Ireland. We are heading off to Dublin, Ireland ,in early February.

Both of the girls will be dancing in a competition called the All-Irelands. It is considered a Major competition.  This competition will be my daughter Erin's first international competition.  We are very excited!

Erin will be dancing on Saturday, Feb. 11, and Shannon will be dancing on Sunday, Feb. 12. Erin will dance in the under-10 age category and this is the youngest age group that can qualify to dance. Shannon will be dancing in the under-12 age group. They will be competing with girls in their age group, from all over Ireland and the world. There will be approximately 120 girls in each category, but there could be more.

I will be blogging about our trip and hopefully showing everyone some of our fun adventures.
